[About Banzai Hitler Youth/ Heil HItlerjugend]

Japan concluded the Anti-Comintern Pact with Germany in 1936. The twoyears later, Hiler Youth visited Japan as a goodwill ambassador. This song Banzai Hitler Youth was wrote and composed to welcome them in 1938.

The lyricist Kitahara Hakushu was a Japanese representative poet in that time. It is unbelievable for many Japanese that he wrote these extreme expressions like "You are glorious Germanic race!", "Banzai Nazis!".

In Germany or other countries, Nazis was and is a negative word, but in Japan Nazi was not negative at all. Since 1945, Japanese called the third Reich Nazis-Doitu(Germany) positively. Many Japanese still use Nazis neutrally. (I believe that not Nazis but Nazi is negative in Japan. e.g. "He is a Nazi!")
